Haslingden derives from Hazeldean or Valley of the Hazels and lies 19 miles north of Manchester in the County of Lancashire. Originally an old market town of the industrial revolution times throughout the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, the area was known in particular for its Stone, it also played a big part in the Woolen and then later Cotton Industry. It is steeped in Local History and can also boast to have one of the most beautiful Natural Valleys around, where thousands come and visit annually.

Steeped in history, our original Victorian building was built in 1752 and remains a focal point of the town’s architecture today. With many original features and antique furnishing throughout, visitors to the Dearden Tea Rooms will enjoy a truly encapsulating experience.
